SIM card for SWBO

I’m thinking of getting a SIM card for the lady of the house from EE. I can get an additional SIM for a good deal. We want the new card to be totally autonomous to my wife so she can add any extras etc without coming via me. I understand that the billing would be through my account, can someone please confirm if my wife will be able to do what she wants with the SIM and any services.

If she wants it to be totally autonomous it will need to be on her own a/c so that she wouldn't need to keep coming to you to do anything. You could still pay its bill but she would be the A/c Holder. Then you will lose any multi-line discount.

If the new line is to be added to your billing account, that creates certain compromises.

Many additional services can be configured via the 150-text-message service, but if anything requires CS intervention or use of the myEE website/app - this may default to the account holder.

You can add your wife to your billing account as an authorised third party for any CS contact, I don't believe this allows for hardware upgrades or anything contractual but most other transactions should be covered.
