hi, I've got a SIM card at the moment but buy my new iPhone from apple every year so I know eventually need to go onto an esim at some point, but would like to know. if I setup my iPhone with a esim, with all my app installed etc. and I want to setup my iPhone brand new from scratch with no app installed etc but still keep my esim without asking EE a new QR code etc, is this possible?

thanks in advance

P.S. sorry if I've put this post in wrong forum section

No need to move to eSIM at the moment as all currently available iPhone models in the UK still support a physical SIM.

In the case that you did move to eSIM, when transferring your contents from your old iPhone to a new one you would be prompted to transfer your e-SIM through the Quick Setup process for transferring your data to the new device.

If you did not want to transfer the device data (apps, photos etc), but just the eSIM, you could set up the iPhone without a SIM and then download the EE App in order to perform an eSIM Replacement. This process will send a verification passcode to the SIM in the old device and then allow you to download an eSIM to your new device. This will automatically disable and replace the eSIM in the old device.
