Hi everyone,
I’ve recently ported my number from 3 Network to EE. Calling works perfectly and shows my correct, ported number — but when I send SMS messages, they appear to come from a different (temporary) number.
I’m using a Samsung S25 Ultra, and everything else seems fine. I checked all settings I could find — including Call Settings and Supplementary Services — but I don’t see an option to change or edit my SIM phone number. I also don’t have the usual “SIM card manager” menu under Connections.
Has anyone experienced this? Is there a fix on the phone, or do I need to contact EE to have them update something on their end?
Thanks in advance for your help!

When exactly was "recently" that you ported in?
If you text NUMBER to 150, do you get the expected result? If you send a text to your ported-in number, do you receive it?
Depending on the results of these tests, you may simply need to contact EE-CS on 150 to check your specific config. There is often a simple fix for similar issues.

Thanks for your reply!
I ported my number from Three to EE just yesterday.
I’ve done the test and texted “NUMBER” to 150 — it returned the correct (ported) number: 075xxxxx234.
However, when I send SMS messages to someone, they still appear to come from +44 75xxxxx093, which I believe was the temporary number from EE.
Calls show the correct ported number, only texts are affected.
I can’t edit or remove the wrong number anywhere on the device.

To clarify... you can send a text message from your phone, and it shows "Message sent"? That same message is delivered as an incoming text to your phone? And shows, which number? Temporary or ported-in?
EE-CS should be able to send a "refresh" to your SIM (exact terminology may vary) which usually resolves very similar issues.

I would imagine it's your RCS Chats that are holding on to the original SIM number.
If you go to Messages, then Settings, there should be an option for RCS Chats.
I would try switching these off and restarting your device, then try to switch it back on and see if it will update the number.
