I have payg phone,where I top up as required..not a bundle/no my ee account.I use phone only occasionally…I intend to buy a new phone,..how do I get my number and payg arrangement onto a new phone?Do I request a new sim?…and then what do I do?

@jfostern Your payg agreement/phone number is attached to your SiM. So when you get your new phone, and assuming it fits, simply move your existing SIM to it and restart your new phone. Job done.

What if sim is different size…how do I get a new one?….Will it have all the info on my old sim?

@jfostern Unless your SIM is very old, the chances are that it is a milti-sim where you push out the correct size. Just about all modern phones take a nano-sim. My advice is to see if your current SIM fits. If not, any EE shop should be able to do a SIM swap for you, transferring everything over. You could also ask customer services to send you a new sim with your existing number on it. But try your existing SIM in the new phone first.

Take phone & old SIM into an EE shop with Photo ID & they'll transfer number, any SIM contacts & credit if applicable to a replacement SIM of correct size for free or order a replacement SIM online at Order a replacement SIM for £1.50 or phone CS for one. It will come as a Combi-SIM with all 3 sizes as push-outs.
