Recieve SIM in post, PAC transfer date?

drblackett

Hi!

So I was about to submit my PAC code to EE online (I want to port my number from Three), but I am worried that once I do this, it will start the transfer process. What happens,  then, if my new EE SIM card is delayed in the post - will I be cut off from Three and have no service until I get the new SIM? Is there somewhere I can agree a transfer date perhaps, to avoid this? Or am I missing something!?

Thanks!

Hi @drblackett,

If your EE sim card is delayed then you have two options. You can either go into an EE store to get a new sim and then use this in your phone, If your device supports it, you can also order an eSIM online which will activate and begin working immediately once downloaded.

Obviously, if you do either of these things then the sim you eventually receive in the post will not work when put into your phone.

Ports take 24 hours (excluding weekends) to complete, and your three sim will stop working when it completes.

Thanks,
Alex

@drblackett , I would suggest waiting until you have the EE SIM card before doing the transfer, then you will not be cut off, or if you are near an EE high street store, you can go there with an ID and transfer your number that way.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.
