Hi,
I purchased an EE Sim Only deal and provided my PAC code to get my number ported over from Vodafone. The port was due to be done today, but I have not received any text/SMS messages to indicate the porting process started, is this normal?
Currently I can make calls and send texts which appear from my ported number, but I can't receive any calls or texts. Should I expect a text/SMS to confirm when the porting process is complete? Or could there be some other issue?
I have updated my iPhone (My Number and iMessage) with my ported number, and have tried removing and re-inserting my SIM card (as well as numerous re-starts of my iPhone) - but still can't receive any calls/texts.
Hopefully this is just me being impatient lol
Thanks

On the day of a port-in, split port behaviour such as what you describe can be normal.
If the port isn't complete by tomorrow morning, then a call to CS may be wise, to check all is on-track.

Thanks for the reply.
Update: I have received the text from 150 confirming the port is complete, however I can still not receive any calls or texts. I have tried removing and re-inserting the SIM, also resetting Network Settings and re-started my phone a few times.
I have a feeling there is something else causing an issue 😞

If you dial out, is the correct number presented?
If you have restarted your phone and problems persist, I would recommend a call to CS on 150 to check the port has completed.

Yes, I am able to dial out and my ported number shows on the receiver’s phone.
I’ll try give CS a call in the morning if the problem still persists.

@the_fellowship Is your number showing correctly in settings>phone ? If it’s not you need to turn off iMessage and FaceTime and then restart the device. Now check your number again in settings>phone if it’s now correct you can enable iMessage and FaceTime.
When you first setup an iPhone and enabled iMessage and FaceTime it locks on to the number of the sim and even if you port a number in it still locks on to the first number of that SIM card so an off/device restart/on of iMessage and FaceTime refreshes that connection with the now ported in new number.

Thanks for your reply @Chris_B
I can confirm my ported number is correctly displayed in Settings -> Phone and in iMessage and FaceTime.
Outgoing calls seem to be working fine.
However incoming calls/texts are not working.

@the_fellowship is your Vodafone sim still active ?
If it's disconnected then it's probably a case that Vodafone haven't released the number correctly to EE if you call freephone 0800 956 3146 from any other phone a tech advisor will be able to run through diagnostics with yourself and escalate your issue to the MNP team who will then contact Vodafone to reslove the issue.

I contacted the tech team on the number above and the issue has been forwarded to the MNP team. It does look like the port wasn’t completed fully, so hopefully they can resolve the issue asap.
My Vodafone number was disconnected a few days before the port was due to take place (they inadvertently disconnected my main Vodafone number instead of the connected Apple Watch number aka Vodafone One Number). Not sure if that is related to the issues I’m experiencing?
