Not getting any incoming texts after number porting from lyca

Hi 

I recently ported in my lyca number to EE, and since the port,  i am not able to receive incoming text messages from anyone.

i have tried talking to the tech support but no help. 

I am unable to receive OTPs and its causing a lot of distress. Any advise?

 

i just happend after port in. 

 

can anyone assist.

Hi @Umer1572 How long has it been since you ported your number in to us? it may take a few days to fully port over after you've given us your PAC, and there may be a period where messages may go to your previous networks sim while the port process is taking place.

In what way were CS "no help"? They have a process to follow, and if they're not doing so - either ask to speak to someone else, or callback to do so yourself.

When you provide a PAC, your number should be ported in the following working day. Once you receive a  notification to the effect of "port complete", there is no reason for any issues to occur beyond that.

Is this affecting all SMS, or just automated ones? Can you receive incoming calls from a) Other EE users, or b) Anyone else, OK?

Hi, the port was completed on 2 Aug. That’s when the old sim stopped working and I was able to receive calls on the ported sim.

What type of phone is it you are using and has the phone been restarted since your port-in completed? 

What did our technical team say when you spoke to them regarding the issue?
