Hi,
On 5th Feb, I signed up to a new sim only deal, moving away from Vodafone. I provided the PAC and the order confirmation stated that the number would transfer within 1 working day. It hasn't and when I put the EE sim into my phone over the weekend, a text came through stating that the number would transfer by 6pm on 07/03.
I'm very confused by this and I can't cancel my contract with Vodafone until the number has ported because the number will be lost (according to Vodafone). I certainly don't want to be paying for 2 contracts for the same billing period!
Also, when I log into my new EE account, the billing page comes up with an error and so does the plans and subscriptions page. I've tried using different browsers, but to no avail. Is the system down at the moment, please?
This isn't a great start for a new EE customer...

Your new EE SIM will have a temporary number assigned when you first receive it. If a PAC was supplied as part of the order, that will be submitted when you first activate the new SIM onto EE's network.
A port-in date will be set then, usually the following working day. This assumes activation during normal working hours - if during the evening, add an extra working day to these timescales. EE-CS on 150 have access to your specific account and can check the status of your individual port-in - it seems odd that the port-in date mentioned on your text is almost exactly a month from the date you ordered the line.
Use of the PAC serves two purposes - your number is ported and your old-contract is cancelled as a matter of course.
