Kept old number but it’s not changing

Hello,
I have shifted my network to EE. Want to keep my old number. Given PAC code and told them that I want to keep my old number but I’m unable to.
iPhone is not able to shift me to my old number keep asking for code when i enter my old number and receive nothing.
How to get my old number back?

No it’s not.
and no-one is able to call me on my number from last 3 days.
I have changed it in the iphone by turning off iMessages and facetime and then changed it to the older number which I wanted to keep but still no one is able to contact me on my number.
tried to call your helpline but couldn’t get through.

Please restart your phone and if that doesn't resolve the issue, please get in touch with Customer Care so a member of the team can check the status of your number port.

Well I have done that already
Restarted the phone, talked to your customer care representative twice she asked me to restart the network settings from phone, did that as well.
Still, the issue stays and no one is able to contact me via phone or text message.

Please get in touch with Customer Care to let them know the network settings reset didn't help.
They may need to escalate this to our porting team.
