Just adding to what @bristolian has said- Occasionally PACs are set temporarily for 30 days ahead to ensure enough time to receive the new EE SIM card without losing service on your old one.
If you make your first phone call from the new EE SIM it will initiate the PAC process to take place as soon as possible, rather than waiting until the 15th May.

Hope this helps!

You've not said, but I'm going to assume that you've ordered a new line from EE on either a SIM-only or PAYG basis, and requested to port a number in at the same time.

Your new EE SIM will have a temporary number assigned when you first receive it. If a PAC was supplied as part of the order, that will be submitted when you first activate the new SIM onto EE's network.

A port-in date will be set then, usually the following working day. This assumes activation during normal working hours - if during the evening, add an extra working day to these timescales. Bear in mind Bank Holidays are not working days - so neither Friday 18th nor Monday 21st count.
