Canada Roaming

Hi any help appreciated.

I purchased an all rounder contract to use unlimited data around the world (mainly Canada as I am travelling there now).

Yesterday I received this message and it seems like my data roaming for Canada has been removed without any notice while i am still in Canada and need to use my data

The App does not work, the website is terrible and does not seem to give me an option to switch from EU roaming to ROW option 1 (Canada).

It seems like my mobile data does still works and i have a £0 spend cap but want to be sure I will not get any extra charges for this. On my profile it says I have unlimited date aswell.

I have tried calling any help numbers which do not call through and end immediately. I have texted the 150 number also and it doesn't seem to let me switch my roaming extra.

The main reason for choosing my plan was to use it in Canada and it seems like this has been changed without any notice and no options to change it back which is very frustrating.

It's also worth mentioning that the cost of the plan has increased by almost £10 per month since starting it in August 2023 and now I am being told that I am now receiving less services.

Is there any other ways I can get in contact with EE and resolve this issue?

Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. on Skype over WiFi. It should be free.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Thanks for the suggestion but I can't say this has been helpful.

I've noticed I can't call any UK numbers and it seems ridiculous to have to download another app, setup an account and pay a subscription/pay a cost to use WiFi calling just to get through to customer service.

This seems to suggest you can call "in-country" (i.e. Canadian) numbers - but can you confirm?

You likely have an international call bar active, if so.
