How to get esim when beginning service

Hi, I’ll be moving to the UK in a week or so, and I am looking into starting mobile service with EE. As I am not in the UK right now I would like to be able get an esim right from the start, so I can have service right when I arrive without having to wait for a physical sim, or having to go to a store. Is this an option for new customers? If so, how would I proceed?

@so23jjp   Only contract customers can use an eSim so you’ll need to request a sim only contract and you’ll have to have a UK address and you’ll be credit check. You’ll be sent a physical Sim card to your billing address and from that you can then choose to switch to the eSim in your device.  You can not just activate the eSim to use on EE with out first being on a contract.  The eSim doesn’t work with PAYG. ( pre pay )

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

You can't activate any SIM on an overseas network. You need to wait until you are in UK.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

I understand. But could they give me the code for an esim from the start so I could activate it immediately upon arriving?
