HELP ported an expired number from a diff service provider…

I ported my old number but stupidly didn’t realise my pac had expired, my old number is registered to O2 which the contract has now expired for…can I still keep my old number or is that the end.

Ps my O2 sim is in my old phone and while I can’t send/receive texts or calls I can still use data?

Your no. is safe as long as you keep paying O2 for it until you successfully port it to EE.

These mobile contracts don't just end, just the min. term expires. They are not fixed term contracts. After the min. term they just carry on at the same price on a rolling 30-days' notice basis until you explicitly cancel, upgrade or port your no. away.
