ESIM not receiving activation code

Hello there
I am not receiving activation code.
Iphone14 pro
Do I need a phisycal SIM? If yes why do not warn the EE site before procedure? I Have no time to go to shop. Why I can not ask the code another phone number?

@Kerobi How do you receive a code without a working signal? The code if for security as you are authorising the transfer to the eSim.
And you need to be a contract customer to use an Esim
To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
