E sim Activation

Hi, hoping someone can help. 

I've received  my new phone today and I'm a new customer. I chose to get an E-Sim, which I'm starting to learn might be a mistake. 

I haven't received any sort of sim activation  with the package the phone came in. Is there a way I can do it, or should I just ask for a physical  sim card?

Well, EE says:

If you’re new to EE and have ordered an eSIM with your device directly from us, you’ll either:

  • be sent a scannable QR code with your new device, or
  • you need to turn on your new device and follow the prompts to install your eSIM

Welcome to the community,

Firstly, only customers on contract can have an ESim, secondly, you first need to have a physical SIM card to then change it to an ESim, but only if you are a contract customer, pay as you go cannot receive an ESIM, they can only have a physical SIM card.
