Do I need to register my PAC code again?

I just signed up for a SIM only contract and, during the process, I entered my PAC code to keep my old number. I've just activated the new EE sim and my number isn't working. Does it take 24 hours from my activating my new SIM or do I need to go through the PAC process again?
