I’ve been using this sim for around 4 weeks now and I had Tesco send me a voucher code but it never came through and every time I try verifying my phone number I can never receive the sms code

If this is a new PAYG line, you need to topup initially before you can receive SMS other than from EE.
If this is not a new PAYG line, have you been able to send or receive text messages previously?
