How do I find if my EE sim is 5g?

Welcome to our community. 

Are you on pay monthly or pay as you go? How long ago did you get the SIM?

Pay monthly unlimited texts and calls . About a week now

If the SIM is pay monthly and only a week old, it will definitely be compatible. Are you having trouble picking up 5G?

Yeah it seems to only be 4g I can get

@Rich8717  does your device support 5G? What device is it? And if it does Support 5G have you set it to 5G or is it still switched to 4G only.

So I'm using an old galaxy s20 fe . It's called s20 fe 5g

@Rich8717  And have you changed the cellular connection type on the device from 4G to 5G,  if it’s still set at 4G you’ll not connect to a 5G connection 

 

  1. Slide two fingers downwards starting from the top of the screen.
  2. Press the settings icon.
  3. Press Connections.
  4. Press Mobile networks.
  5. Press Network mode.
  6. Press the required network mode. ...
  7. Press the Home key to return to the home screen.
