- Had he used that PAYG SIM for making calls or texts in UK before he left to go abroad? To be used abroad EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network. If it wasn't he can't now use it until he returns to UK.
- Did he receive a msg upon arrival telling him about the charges for roaming in EU on PAYG? Did he buy 1 of the "Roam Like Home" add-ons to be able to use his UK pack allowances there?
To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

@elenatoo , if your relative is on monthly contract, did he enabled roaming on his account before going abroad? No need to do this on pay as you go as it is automatically enabled.
Has he received the welcome message since landing in Greece? Often just rebooting the router solves the problem.
Has he gone into settings and under network, switched off automatic and then searched for a different network to see if one of them works?

Hi Rach_H,
Yes, he has. Now the roaming works though he has not received a confirmation text from EE. This was confusing.
Thank you so much)

Hi Schockwave,
Thank you so much for your help.
The roaming works though there has been no confirmation text from EE. The latter was confusing.
Thank you)
