I've scoured the forum but cannot find a clear statement of exactly what is included in the Roam Abroad Pass when in Australia. It's all very well saying that I can use my allowance like when I'm at home but, when I'm at home, a call to Australia costs a fortune - is that the case when I'm in Australia calling a local number with a Roam Abroad Pass?
To be 100% specific:
Somewhat disappointing that EE have not clearly stated this on their website. It sets out very clearly all the charges that will be incurred WITHOUT a Roam Abroad Pass but not what they will be WITH a Roam Abroad Pass.
Thanks!

1. Maybe! Up to 50 GB if you have more.
2-5. Yes. Also texts.
As it is not in EU, if you are on contract, you may use your usual UK allowances there with up to 50 GB data per billing month if you have more, when you buy for £25 / month or have already as a Smart Benefit the Roam Abroad Pass or you have an EE Max Plan. Otherwise you will need to pay the charges or buy roaming add-ons as set out in https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/roaming/roaming-costs/countries/australia. If you tick the Roam Abroad Pass box you'll see the (non-) charges with it in effect.
As you are on contract, remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to ensure the roaming ability is enabled on your account.

Frequent traveler to the U.S., which will be in the same bucket as Australia.
indeed all free when abroad. The only time you get charged extra is when calling from the UK to an overseas number including EU/ US/ Australia, Because that counts as an international call. Very illogical.
