EE Pay Monthly Roaming in Croatia

Hi, I'm a Pay Monthly (unlimited data) member (for 20+ years) and in my active add-ons i have "Full Roaming".  Does this mean i can use my phone/data in Croatia at no extra cost?

Website just takes me to a calculator page with 1/7/14 day passes

Thanks

A screenshot may help, but if you check the wording of what the add-on does, I suspect you'll find it's the free facility to roam - in other words, enabling your phone to connect to foreign networks. The clue is the phrasing "enables the full roaming experience".

As far as roaming costs go, Croatia is within the EE-EU zone thus £2.59/day is the fallback position, this single charge allows full use of your UK allowances for calls, texts & data - with a 50GB/month FUP for data.

That cost can be reduced with 7/12 day passes. There's 2 relevant questions for whether EU-roaming is inclusive within your plan..

1: Did you last re-contract since 7 July 2021? If yes, then your history before that is irrelevant.

2: Are you on an All-rounder, Essentials Plus or Full works plan? The website tool should ask for this. If you do, then the billing add-on is inclusive. If you don't, then you can choose the daily, weekly or 12day pass.

@andyo74 , just to add, please make sure that you have roaming enabled on your account before going abroad. You can text ROAMING to 150 or ring customer service to make sure that it is enabled, if you have not already done so.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

There should be an option to click on "full roaming" in your second screenshot and get a description of it, but I strongly suspect this is the free "ability to roam" that I mentioned previously, and which Schockwave alluded to.

On your upper screenshot, I would interpret "Roaming pass EU" as meaning inclusive EU-roaming. Try texting FROM Croatia to 150 - what do you get by response?

Hi @andyo74

Please log into your EE Account and head to this roaming tool. Pop in the answers to the questions and it should let you know if you're set up for roaming, and if your plan allows you to use your UK allowances in Croatia.

You can also check the roaming status of your account by texting ROAMING to 150 free of charge.

Have a great trip. 🙂

Chris

I can only presume from this comment, that you assume the FROM CROATIA text message has to be sent from Croatia - it doesn't.

Texting FROM country-name to 150 is another account-specific way of checking roaming costs for any country, from anywhere... the UK included.
