I have this question as well. I live in the US and purchased a SIM without a monthly contract 2 years ago. I still have that SIM but my new phone requires an eSIM. I need an eSIM that I will charge up and use for a month

Anyone can purchase an EE PAYG SIM, which will be physical.
Electronic SIM is only available to pay-monthly contract users, which require a UK credit check to be passed.

Your question is different and has been moved to a new thread of its own.
A SIM without a monthly contract is a PAYG one. EE do not offer eSIM on PAYG.

@Steve2134 : Furthermore if you not used it for over 9 months it would have completely deactivated due to non-use.

Ok. Can a US resident who is visiting family in Scotland and is a former purchaser of an EE SIM card, purchase an eSIM for his new phone to use while visiting again?
