@johnj102 : You can't thro' your EE a/c. You need to call CS to give 30 days notice to cancel your contract & ask for it to then be transferred to PAYG.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Hi @johnj102,

Welcome to the EE Community

If you are looking to move your number from a monthly contract to PAYG then as @XRaySpeX mentioned it will require giving us a call to request the move which will complete at the end of the 30 days notice.

I don't know how long you are in Asia for but just to make you aware if you make the move to PAYG whilst outside the UK, your SIM will not work once the move completes. In order for the SIM to be able to be used outside the UK for a PAYG account, the SIM must first be used in the UK for a chargeable activity such as call, text etc.

So it is best to keep this in mind if you are not coming back to the UK anytime soon. If you do still wish to request the move, our contact us from abroad page has the number to call us on when outside the UK.
