Getting historical invoices

My husband passed away and I transferred the contract my myself and put his phone on payg. 

I asked EE for historical invoices from his account as I have to prepare accounts and they say they cannot give them to me under data protection. 

I'm an executor of my husbands will but they said they still cannot give me the information. I cannot understand why??

I thought they would look after their customers

Firstly, I'm sorry to hear of your loss and our condolences to you and your family. 

As the executor of the estate, have you spoken with our Life Events team when you have called Customer Service?

The person I spoke to in customer services said he had spoken to the bereavement team. I asked to be put through to them but he said they would tell me what he had said.
