I’m shocked last month i went 2 weeks without data because their phone line was down.. and now the app is having issues and now i can’t pay to top up as i’m now out of data. Honestly considering leaving EE they’re never reliable.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hi @Alex_M
Using the fast payment page works to add credit to an EE phone but I have credit and I need to add data - how do I do that?
Thanks

@SimonG9900
You can buy an add-on by logging into EE, through the EE app, texting ADD ON to 150 or calling 150.
Data is also available through the add-ons page
You can find out more on our pay as you go add-ons page.

Thanks for your response...
I have tried adding data through the EE site but only got the following error message "Sorry, we were unable to complete your request right now. Please try again later." I've tried this a few times over the past few days with the same result.
I also tried using the EE app but that also returned an error message.
I tried visiting an EE shop but apparently they can't add data in store...
I haven't tried the text route yet.
My EE SIM is in a portable wifi router so I can't call 150 - I did try to calling the other number given under Contact Us but there's no option to speak to an operator so that was a waste of time. I'm puzzled by the "We're experiencing a high number of calls at the moment" message on the Contact us page as it seems impossible to speak to anyone at EE...

@SimonG9900
Does your WIFI router allow text messages through the admin page? If so you could request the add-on through.
Alternatively if possible pop your SIM into a mobile handset to send the text message.

@SimonG9900 : Visit http://add-on.ee.co.uk/purchase from a device connected to your mobile router by WiFi to see what data add-ons are available.
However this EE add-on site appears to be off-line at the mo' (all my browsers).

Thanks - I'll try that, once the site's available.
Site unavailability seems to be an EE specialisation...
