Why would you hang me up in the middle of a call?

Ran out of credit in the middle of a call... instead of letting me finish the conversation, they (EE) just hung me up in the middle of the call! Firstly, how rude does that seem to the other person? Secondly, couldn't you just let us finish our call and THEN stop us from making future calls before topping up? This is why everybody uses Whatsapp nowadays.

Cuz you pay by the min. If you run over to a min. for which you have no credit the call ends. It's up to you to check you have enough credit to cover the duration of the call you are making.

@nathanh11  To call customer services from a PAYG device it’s a flat rate fee of £0.25p  so provided you have 25p on your account that’s all it’ll cost.   And you simply cuts of had a loss of signal on your device for the call to drop. ( that’s a guess as I don’t know what your signal is like )

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

On any pre-payment setup, you can only spend upto the credit you have.

A logical extension of your "finish the call" argument would be having enough credit for a one minute call, but making it last beyond an hour - this is not workable.

You need a data allowance to use any internet-based app, including WhatsApp. Apps can only route "calls" between app users.
