Hi @Dmytro4 @jkghbigyuiguhi

I've not heard back from you following the private message I sent, so I trust your issues have been now been resolved, and top-up is working as expected.

If you're still facing an issue please get back in touch with the information requested so we can investigate.

Thanks!

Ali

Hi @jkghbigyuiguhi,

I'm sorry to hear you're still having this issue.

Have you been able to reach out to our team so they can check to see if this is an account specific issue?

Are you able to let us know more details about the exact steps you're taking when you see this error?

Hi @9454676810

Thanks for getting back to us and letting us know this is still not working for you.

What was the last update you received?

Was a ticket raised by our technical care team?

Any time my credit card expires I run into this problem. It has happened for YEARS. I cannot believe you STILL haven't fixed this!

Yes, I have tried multiple browsers, multiple connections, including using your native mobile app on an EE 4G connection, no VPNs, no ad-blockers, no browser extensions - I'm not sure how vanilla I can make this. Always the same problem, after confirming credit card details it just hangs, get "aw snap" error message, and "This content is blocked".

This is so unbelievably frustrating, and I really have to question whether anyone is working on this at all. The credit card details page doesn't even let you enter more than one character for each of the fields without immediately raising an error telling you to type in the full number (what do you think I am trying to do?!) and taking away focus from the input field. This is utterly basic functionality, and there is absolutely no way that anyone has tested this.

I don't want to "reach out". I just want someone to fix this. I'm literally trying to give you money!

Hi @cluebat123

Please Clear Browser Cache and Cookies, and then try making making the payment using a Private Browsing Window
Open the payment page in an Incognito (Chrome) or InPrivate (Edge) window. This mode disables extensions and uses a clean session, which can help determine if an extension is the issue.

If that doesn't work, are you able to try making payment with a card from alternative bank using our Fast Payment page.

Ali

Hi @Ali_A

Like I said, this happens no matter what browser I use, and like I said I am not using any extensions. It even happens in your official Android app, where it is not possible to disable extensions or clear cookies. This is not a browser issue. It doesn't matter whether I use Chrome, or Safari, or macOS, or Android. It doesn't matter whether I am using my ISP, or your very own 5G. The end result is always the same. This is entirely a bug in your code.

The only way around it is to use the workaround suggested however many years ago on this thread and enable the "Disable Content-Security-Policy" Chrome extension for your page. This disables important security features, but is the only way for an end-user to work around the bugs on your site. As soon as this is enabled, it immediately works.

I've now done this, and I expect I'll be back here again the next time my credit card expires, as I have no confidence that you'll actually fix this. Also, unless I'm mistaken, Fast Payment is useless if trying to set up monthly PAYG DD plan payments.

Not your fault, of course, I appreciate you are in a difficult position having to deal with customer complaints while not being able to actually fix the root cause. It would just be nice to get an acknowledgment that this is a bug on your end, and has absolutely nothing to do with user browser choice or cookies, and putting the blame on the end-user.

@cluebat123  agree!

I have reported this multiple times in the past. The problem is consistently reproducible on my side. However, I have been repeatedly told that the issue must be related to my device.

This issue has been ongoing for several years, and the reproduction case is extremely simple and consistent.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open the iPhone app.

  2. Attempt a one-time account top-up.

  3. Use a Visa card with 3D Secure enabled.

  4. Proceed with payment confirmation.

The issue occurs during the 3D Secure confirmation step.

To move this forward constructively, I would like to request a screen recording from your support or technical team demonstrating the same payment flow (iPhone app → one-time top-up → Visa card with 3D Secure) where the 3D Secure confirmation completes successfully without any issues.

@Ali_A  If the issue does not occur on your side, a video recording of the successful flow would help clarify the situation and allow us to compare environments. Please let me know once this has been tested and recorded.

P.S. Because of this, I am currently forced to use Fast Payment as a workaround, as I have not found any alternative solution. Disabling browser security restrictions is not something I am willing to do, as those protections exist for a reason.

The equivalent for PAYG is Fast Top Up online with a UK bank card. You don't need to login or register anything. All you need is your mobile no. & it doesn't remember your card details. But like Fast Payment is for a single ad-hoc payment

Anyway you are not paying for PAYG by DD. It's a Direct Card Payment which in banking terms is a Continuous Payment Authority (CPA).
