Hello.
Trying to make most economical decision, seeking those with more knowledge experience.
Partner has dumbphone, rarely uses it, obviously for texts and calls only, no data. Currently on monthly package, unlimited texts and minutes, 250mb data. Would he be better on a PAYG plan?
I just got my first smart phone and on same package as partner. Nailed already making on a whatsapp call thinking I was on WiFi. Ugh. Lots to learn. I use WiFi mainly so wondering if I also could manage on PAYG? I do need some roaming data for texts and emails. I have friends who are PAYG with smartphones and it seems to be okay. I find the whole subject challenging to get my head round, not a natural tekkie!. Trying to save money as I still need a copper landline so it costs and then the broadband.
Thanks for reading. Advice welcomed. Apologies if I used incorrect lingo....a luddite really 🙂

Probably! You'll get at least 8GB data for £10 pm on a PAYG pack.
Roaming in the EU on PAYG would cost either £2.50 / day or £10 / week. Not much different or even cheaper than contract costing £2.47 / day.
