Hello, I purchased a sim card from the airport with 60gbs internet, unlimited calls and messages for 30 pounds. The empolyee who helped me said that I can use the sim card till the 60 gbs of data end, only by then I should pay again or buy a new pack. I got a message few days ago that my current SIM Local Pack ends in 7 days, and that I should make sure to have 20 pounds credit to renew my pack. I am confused and dont know what's to be done next. Please help. Many thanks

@Bissa : As advised you should top-up before then. Try using Fast Top Up online with a UK bank card. You don't need to login or register anything. All you need is your mobile no. & it doesn't remember your card details.
If you top-up £30 or more your £30 pack will auto renew in 7 days time.
If you top-up less, say £20, you should buy the smaller pack by texting PACK20 to 150.

I had the exact same thing happen to me with a SIM card I bought at Heathrow airport. I said I needed a plan to last 3 months and got recommend the 100gb for £40. I specifically asked if this is a one time payment for 3 months and the lady said yes. 3 weeks later I got a txt saying my plan would run up in a week if I didn’t add an extra £30 to my account. It’s pretty disgraceful

If these Sims you are buying are intended purely for Data use, then you might be better off buy the EE 120gb for 12 Months Data Only Sim, EE dont actually sell them, not sure about the EE Shops but they can be found in Argos, Amazon, eBay and other places letc, about 40 to 50 quid one time payment from memory, and last I heard they could also be used when Roaming in the EU as well.
The normal 6 month PAYG Rule applies to the above Sims, ie, if not used for 6 Months they go into hibination.
