Pay as you go roaming data

I have a pay as you go plan and travelling to Turkey.  I cannot get a Travel Data Pass and my roaming doesn't seem to work

The TDP is not available to PAYG.

Can you make calls & texts?

Did you receive a msg upon arrival offering you data add-ons?

Did you use that PAYG SIM for making calls or texts in UK before you left to go abroad?

I have always used my PAYG sim in UK and EU, no problem.

I received a text upon arrival, proposing ADDONS but the link now is not working anymore: it says I need to turn the wifi off, but then when I turned it off, the page doesn't load (as the roaming seems not working). What am I supposed to do to get Internet?

Do you have signal showing when not connected to WiFi? 

Also, do you have credit to purchase a data add-on?

Hi Leanne,

 

It says I have signal but then no connection seems to happen. Yep, plenty of credit to buy the adds on, and it seems also the transaction took place (the money went out from my account), but no service.

Can you manually search for networks in your phone settings, do any show available?

There doesn't seem to have any available.

The only way I was able to "solve it" is by buying a Turkish sim card...
