Hi all,
Have been on a monthly pack since 2014. Now living in the EU and have received a message this morning saying that from tomorrow, I will be charged to use my data here.
Firstly the fact that I am told 1 day in advance is incredibly frustrating, so thank you EE.
Can anyone confirm that I will be subject to these new rules please? Currently the website states that if pack is before 2021, all will be fine.
TIA

Great...anyway thank you so much for your help- Massively appreciated.
I move back to the UK in September. Can I not pay my pack for 3 months and it will work as normal in sept?

Hi @lambomax70.
You are most welcome.
So for pay as you go we advise to have chargeable action every 179 days for it to remain active and not go into hibernation.
Should you keep topping up your monthly pack whilst abroad you should be good for when you move back to the UK.
Good luck with the move,
Katie

Hi Katie,
Ok. If it's 6 months that should be fine.. running 2 contracts isn't really a financial possibility for me at the moment.
You mentioned this £15/month for monthly PAYG. Would this allow me to keep my 16gb data that I have currently? I can't get a German SIM card in time etc due to travelling around this week.

Hi @lambomax70.
The £15 is on top of the monthly contractual charge.
The charge for pay as you go is £10 per week.

You don't have a contract; you are on PAYG. You top-up regularly & you buy time-limited packs, the very essence of PAYG.
Roaming charges are being introduced for PAYG from 06/06/23 as either £2.50 / day or £10 / week to be taken only from your PAYG credit, not your recurring card payment.
