My data allowance reduces every couple of days on pay as you go

I have 1.2 GB per week on my account available but  every couple of days it reduces my allowance (not the amount I’ve used) …..any ideas?

Welcome to the EE Community

Just to clarify with you mention your allowance being per week, are you just buying 7 day data add-ons for your data allowance, or do you have a monthly plan that you purchase? 

What sort of amounts are being deducted from your allowance? Does the amount you are seeing online match the amount reported if you text AL to 150 from your phone?

@Wills1277  Do you have apps running in the background?   If apps are running in the background they’ll use data all the time.

Apparently now (after ringing EE) when I use up a data  boost (50MB at a time) that amount disappears off my allowance.

so my allowance stays the same (behind the scenes) but shows I’ve got less as I use my boosts up . 
I’m not querying the amount of data that I use…. It’s the decrease in my allowance that confused me.

so when it resets every week it’s showing 0 used of 1.2 GB. 
when I use a bit of data it shows say 200 MB used of 1.0 GB 

later on that week it’ll show say 400 MB used of 0.8 GB . 

It used to show say 200 MB of 1.2GB

Then 400 MB used of 1.2 GB. Etc

 

its the last figure which has changed recently.

EE on the phone said it was a system update about 4/6 weeks ago
