Hiya!
The other day I ordered myself a new EE PAYG SIM Card. I bought the £10 subscription pack, with 20GB data, 500 minutes and unlimited texts. It arrived earlier today but I'm having trouble setting it up.
Firstly, I applied for a PAC code to transfer my number from my Three sim to EE. I gave my PAC code to EE when I bought the sim, expecting the number to transfer over shortly after the sim was activated.
This brings me to my next issue. EE sent me a text saying 'Hi from EE. Thanks for buying a £10 pack. You'll get 500 minutes, unlimited texts, and 8GB of data. Your allowance starts as soon as you make a call or text'. Upon doing so, my texts fail to send, and my calls fail too, and I'm asked to top up. Additionally, I tried texting PACK10 to 150, where I got the reply, 'Thanks. Unfortunately you need £10 credit to get this pack. Please top up and try again.'
So I have a couple of questions. Firstly, why would I need to top up? I thought the sim would come preloaded with the £10 I spent to buy it. Secondly, why is my pack only giving me 8GB of data, when I bought it, it was previously 8 but had gone up to 20GB. And thirdly, why is my old number not transfered over? To my understanding, I can't transfer my number until the sim is activated, and I can't activate the sim as my pack that I bought with the sim isn't active. I also tried transfering numbers at this link: https://ee.co.uk/plans-subscriptions/mobile/settings-permissions/keeping-your-number and got back an error with my new EE number saying, 'Please make sure you enter the right phone number. It must be a UK phone number and start with 07'.
This has been a massive headache so if anyone has any advice on how to activate my £10 Subscription Pack, and transfer my number from my old sim over, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

What does texting AL to 150 from your no. fully report verbatim (it is free)?

Hi @07mcphailc
Welcome to the community.
If you purchased the pack when applying for the SIM, it would normally activate it as soon as you put the SIM in the phone. Is it letting you use the allowances this morning?
The additional data on the SIM would normally be added once the pack has gone live.
In terms of your number, if you gave the PAC when ordering the SIM, it would transfer the number on the next working day after the SIM is activated and a call is attempted.
