EE overcharge

I’ve been with EE since the changeover from BT a few years ago. Since then I have been plagued by technical issues which were never solved completely, which aggravated me considerably since they charge like a raging bull, their prices are so very far from competitive or reasonable. I’ve now left them for a much more efficient and economical alternative company. EE charged me £272 for early exit which pretty well guarantees that I will never return and will continue to spread the word of their total inexcusable incompetence and their outrageously high prices.

Hello @HMDixon ,

Welcome to the community,

All companies charge an early exit fee, and if you had read the terms and conditions, you would have found that out, before moving to another network, so the early exit fee is what it is and is normal, as you entered a contract with a minimum term and if you decide to leave before the minimum term has completed then you will have that charge, your decision to leave and EE are perfectly entitled to charge you charge you for it.

With reference to a response from EE public relations department or whatever you are, there's no need to spell things out to me in such patronising language, I'm fully aware of your terms and conditions, and of your penalising tactics to prevent customers leaving contracts early, but what you are seemingly unable to accept is the injustice of your actions when you have failed on so many occasions to address the faults I've complained about 4 times when our contract was still live.

Your arrogance and lack of flexibility is staggering!
You don't deserve to have faithful, longterm customers. My advice to you (even though I know you'll not take it) is to change your ways, listen to your customers, address their concerns or loose them and fail.

But chances are most likely you'll carry on, buoyed up by your own misplaced arrogance.

I’m not sure you deserve to be in business.
