I just purchased a sim here; ee.co.uk/mobile/free-sim
I picked the : £10 Subscription Pack, 20GB, 500Mins, UnlimitedTexts package.
I found the link from MSE, and now in the email, it says "no free roaming", what does this actually mean...? Can I not use my data aboard, or can I? Is aboard data separate to data at home?
Is there any other 'hidden' things I should know?

@Callum_K To use your pack allowance while within the EU you’ll have to purchase add on to use it. Have a read of THIS
If outside the EU you’ll need credit on your account to pay for calls/text and a data add on for that location .

The answer depends which country you're asking about.
Within the EU, PAYG users can extend their allowances for £2.50/day or £10/week
Outside the EU, different charges apply as per https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/roaming/roaming-costs

It means what it says. There will be a charge wherever you go for roaming outside UK.
To use your pack allowances in the EU on PAYG there are roaming charges of either £2.50 / day, by texting ROAMEU1D to 150, or £10 / week, by texting ROAMEU7D to 150, to be taken only from your PAYG credit, not your recurring card payment. You will receive a msg upon arrival telling you about these charges for roaming in EU. If you opt to reply neither or you don't have an active pack, you will be paying standard rates for calls & texts & will need to buy a PAYG add-on for data.
Outside the EU, you cannot use your UK pack allowances there but will need to pay the charges or buy roaming add-ons as set out in https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/roaming/roaming-costs/ > PAYG. So you'll need to top-up your credit for there.
