EU Roaming charges 6th June 2023 Query

So I got a text back in April from EE stating that from 6th June 2023, they will be introducing charges to EU roaming - £2.50 per day or £10 for a week.

I recently upgraded to a £20 subscription pack (50gb data, unlimited minutes and texts). I'm going away on the 8th June... therefore I was just wondering if anyone knows if the above roaming charges will apply to me or not? If so, how do we specify what charge we want etc. ?

Cheers in advance

For me that is not fair specially for seafare's . We have been using EE for several months , and just today we cannot use it anymore unless you buy the eu roaming £2.5 perday or £10 per week . Imagine you will buy a data for £20 for 50gb and every week you need to buy £10 For roaming it will cost us £60 per month seesssh! Now for us EE IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE 🤣 Not gonna use it anymore

hello

I will ask about my Roaming in my pack. He still working or I must somethink change ?

@Seciu : 'E' is still a signal, a 2G signal. Therefore you are still using data, albeit slow. It's up to the local network what signal you get. You could try manually changing the network operator to see if it's any better.

I havn't set up roaming before leaving UK to Canada. I want to speak with my bank (UK) over phone. How it is possible? Can someone advice me please?

@hailstorm : PAYG is auto enabled for roaming as long as you've used the SIM in the UK previously. Do you have enough credit for making & receiving calls & texts while abroad?
