I received a text from EE about a month ago - April 2024 - informing me that I haven't made a chargeable call/text from my mobile for six months. This isn't true because, although I am not a heavy mobile user, I did send a couple of text messages from my mobile in mid-March 2024. The EE text stated that I should make a chargeable call/text to prevent disconnection from the EE network. I made a call at the end of April 2024. I received another text message from EE today stating that I have not made a chargeable call/text for six months (!) and that I would be disconnected from the EE network. I telephoned EE to make it clear that I had been using my mobile. Today, I made another chargeable call and text message. For peace of mind, how can I ensure that I do not keep receiving these text messages from EE and that I won't be disconnected from the EE server.

@TimmyP73 : Do you have an active pack? If you made those calls & texts from its allowances they are not chargeable.

No, I don't have an active pack. Whenever my credit runs low, I top it up by 'phoning EE and topping up with £10, £20 or £30. Unless EE has switched me to an active pack. How do I check to see whether I'm on an active pack? With an active pack, is there a monthly subscription?

Yes, you pay for packs, not necessarily on monthly subscription.
Text AL to 150. If you have a pack it'll tell you what allowances are left.

I telephoned EE. An operative told me that I do not have an active pack and that the SMS I received today was sent to me in error as I made call on 15th May 2024.

From reading the forum pages, it seems that a lot of EE customers have been sent these text messages in error.
