Cannot link new pay as you go sim to new EE account

I have just got a pay as you go sim, downloaded the EE app and created an account. I have tried everything and I cannot get the mobile number to link to my account. 

I’m constantly getting this error.

I have tried suggestions from other posts, logging into MyEE on the website and I have nothing available that is suggested.  This is all there is…

 The app has a locked padlock on the Home Screen. Not sure what this means.

Hi @AdamL3 

Thanks for coming to the community. 

Have you topped up and and used the SIM card for calls and texts? 

Once this has been done, the EE app should link for you. 

Or, if you give us a call the team will be happy to help get the account set up for you 🙂

Hi Leanne, I have topped up and used the sim for calls and texts. 

I have changed to my old number today, it’s still not linking to the app. 

I will give you a call.

Have you registered with the temporary number previously?

I was never able to register with the temporary number. I’ve had 2 EE SIM cards, 3 different phone numbers now  and none will link to my EE account..
