I tried to link up my 30 days SIM to my EE account few times, but unsuccessful. Error message saying " We're having trouble linking your products" pops up all the time. I also tried to call the support team hotline, but no body picks up the call.
What can i do now as i need to top up within 7 days of SIM's expiry date which is approaching very soon.
Appreciate your guidance.

Roaming on PAYG is auto enabled once you've made a call or text in UK.
I have half-a-dozen PAYG SIMs which have never been topped-up on MyEE a/c.
What did you mean by "within 7 days of SIM's expiry date"? Is this an old SIM you bought ages ago & have kept in a cupboard ever since? The SIM itself will have an expiry date (of about 2 years) printed on the packaging whilst a pack will expire after 30 days.

Hi @Wonggloria
Welcome to the community.
Try topping up on this Fast Payment page. Once it's topped up, you should be able to link the account.

Thanks Chris, i shall try to do so.
One more quick question, i will be traveling in Hong Kong soon, can i have my 30 days SIM inserted in my phone while i am being in HK?
Will the EE 30days SIM "die" as i will be in a location other than UK?
I will not use the EE data while i am in Hong Kong as i will have a local Hong Kong SIM by then. I just want to keep the EE SIM in my phone as a secondary SIM.
This question sounds silly but i heard from my friends that EE SIM will stop working outside UK as EE is a UK company.
Appreciate your guidance.

Hi @Wonggloria.
Welcome to the community.
You can have your SIM in your phone whilst in Hong Kong.
To use your phone you will need to have available credit for calls and texts which are charged at local rates.
Will you be topping up whilst in Hong Kong?
If you haven't used your phone for any chargeable activity for 179 days then your account will go into hibernation. After 273 days your SIM will be disconnected.
More information on EE Hibernation can be found HERE.

In HK your EE PAYG SIM will still work but your 30-day pack is not operative there. So you will need to keep it topped-up if you make or receive any calls or send any texts.
As it is not in EU, you cannot use your usual UK allowances there but will need to pay the charges or buy roaming add-ons as set out in https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/roaming/roaming-costs/countries/hongkong > PAYG.

Hi Katie
Thanks for your reply.
I will make sure i have enough credits before i fly to Hong Kong as i won't do any top up while i am in Hong Kong.
One quick question, do i need to activate "roaming" before i fly to Hong Kong ?

Gloria

Hi Chris,
I thought that when i first activated the 30 days SIM, i already topped up once.
So do u mean that i need to do a second top up in order to be able to link up the SIM to my EE account?
Regards,
Gloria
