So.
I have a new sim card, number has been ported. Logging in to EE shows EE mobile number and wants to send passcode to that number (not my ported number) when I try to change it. Can't activate pack. No data no sms texts. I only have my wifi.
How can something so simple be so hard?

I sorted it.
Despite paying for a pack when I ordered the sim it was NOT applied. No money had left my bank account. This pack appeared on my account with no way to activate it.
So I topped up with £10 and I have my 8GB data plus the extra 12gb giving me a total of 20gb.
What was the point of paying for the pack when I ordered the sim if it was not applied? is there a payment/accounting error?
Most unusual.
It remains to be seen if they take the payment made at the time of purchasing the sim of me or if that was applied to my ee number before the number port or whatever.

You sure you didn't order a free PAYG SIM? No transaction has shown up at your bank not even Pending which would indicate you paid nowt for it.

Nope. I ordered the pay and go £10 sim pack which came with a free sim. Invoice states my new plan is the 20GB ( 8GB with 12GB top up) on 26 September. Number port took place 4/10/24. Why else would have had to input my card details?
