I purchased an EE PAYG SIM and topped up by £10 last night. I intended to leave it as credit i.e. not buy a pack, but it automatically activated one. I sent STOP to 150 which stopped the automatic renewal only so I then called 150 and did an additional stop through the menus. Since then my pack has removed but so has my credit. I now have £0.00 credit and no active pack.

@SirReggie You should text STOP PACK before you get the pack not after as this will stop the automatic renewal. Sounds like you removed the pack as well and you don’t get the credit back on your account after you do this. Your next top up will not automatically renew a pack.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like a convenient way for operators to acquire money 😜
I'll give 150 a call and see if they can refund it return the credit to me.
Thanks

Your £10 credit was used to buy the pack you didn't want but was got. It has already been spent.
