Hello,

I bought a prepaid SIM card for work, but I haven’t been able to activate a plan. My mobile data still shows 0/0, and I can’t send any texts—not even to 150 or the other numbers provided by EE. When I try to send a message, it says “Not delivered,” and when I call customer support, the call disconnects immediately.

I’m completely stuck, and nothing happens when I try to activate a plan.
Please help me!

Thank you.

@OuDouay : Had you used that PAYG SIM for making calls or texts in UK before going abroad? To be used abroad EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network. If it wasn't you can't now use it until you return to UK.

No, I am in France and I don’t plan to go to the UK. I just bought the first SIM card I found. I would like to be refunded for my subscription and any extras I purchased. How can I do that?

@OuDouay , on pay as you go, there is normally no refunds, you would have to speak to customer services to see if that is possible, but as @XRaySpeX  has written, SIM cards have to be first activated in the UK for them to work, cannot be done from abroad. Your only other option is to send the SIM card back to UK to someone, who can then use it to make a chargeable call or text to activate it and then send it back to you. Why oh why do people think they can get a SIM card from the UK without activating and making a chargeable call or text before going abroad, thinking it would work is beyond me!

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

I can't contact customer service!!
