difference between apple watches ?

what’s the difference between 

Apple Watch Series 10 GPS Aluminium Case With Medium/Large Sport Band being £429 

and the..

Apple Watch Series 10 Aluminium Sport Band Medium/Large SIM Free being £489

I’m not understanding why the sim free is £60 more ?

i called EE and they couldn’t answer my question and said it doesn’t make sense

Isn’t the difference that the more expensive one has its own data capability, even if they supply it unlocked and SIM free?

I don’t know enough abt the data watches. My Apple Watch is GPS and WiFi only as my iPhone is my main source. As I always have both on me the cheaper option suffices.
