I've had a number of problems with reliability of Alex calling, but it's settled down now after numerous unlink/link procedures being done.
I never use my EE mobile, and it's generally switched off (I rarealy go out, as I use this feature due to sight impairment) and I notice that incoming calls (from mobile number to Alexa) just stop working, and I need to then setup Alexa calling again. Outbound calls are not affected and work perfectly. Is there a requirement to have the EE phone be active for this service to remain reliable? If so what is the amount of time which is OK to have the phone off
Secondly, and I know this is in the notes of what doesn't work - but has anyone found a way that I can get my EE voicemail from Alexa calling? I thought it would be as easy as creating a contact for the external voicemail number with some pauses, ,my mobile number# then PIN, then #, but Alexa App doesn't allow complex Phone numbers which include a , or a #
Any suggestions on this? (It's important for me as if my incoming calls stop working, or I don't get to my Alexa in time, then the call is routed to EE Voicemail)
Thanks

Hi @TonyW5
Welcome to the community.
You have to have an active subscription on the SIM card, but the device does not need to be switched on to use the Alexa calling service. How often does this happen? Does it seem to work better if you have the phone switched on?
I'm not aware of a workaround to get your voicemail through Alexa. What happens if you have the voicemail number (07953 222 222) set up as a contact in the phone and try to call that? Are you able to try that? It would probably require setting up a voicemail PIN first.

For incoming calls I regularly get that straight to voicemail, and now have to ask my son to reset the Alexa/EE integration about 3 times a week to prevent this. This surely isn't usual behaviour for the setup? When it's reset, it works perfectly, and generally my EE device is off. Over the coming days it just stops working with inbound calls always going to EE voicemail (which I can't get from Alexa). When the linkage is reset, from the Alexa App, it all works again for a short period.
How can I make this more stable?

Morning @TonyW5
I'd recommend giving us a call to speak with our tech guides who will be able to run through some checks and look into this further.
