It is ridiculous to order a phone that says next day dispatch and then no further update other than saying it has been dispatched! I had taken the day off work to receive my phone and that was a week ago. If I was told it was going to take weeks rather than 24 hours I would not have ordered from EE. I certainly wont be ordering a phone via EE again! My EE account still says it should be delivered within 1 to 2 days but I've not received any email or text about a future delivery or about the delay.
Appalling customer service. In fact, zero customer service!!

It does make me smile how some people get in such a tizzy over a phone its not the fault of ee or the guides that stock is low if your going to complain its apple you should be blaming .I placed an order on the 30th September if apple pull there finger out I might get it sooner I will say that ee and the guides have always been so helpful and pleasant thank you.

Having the same issue and it’s impossible to find any information out. I also would not have ordered if I’d know this!

@Lotty81 It’s the same every year when the iPhone launches. Demand outstrips what EE gets allocated from Apple and EE never gets enough in to fulfil back orders and then those that decide to order one think they should receive it ASAP. There is a backlog of orders that have to be completed before new orders will be sent out to anyone ordering after launch day. Demand of each colour and storage size will be determined by what’s most popular and the most popular will take longer to receive. Perhaps actually looking at delivery timescales which are all on the EE website of each model type and colour way before placing an order.

Thank you for your reply. I didn’t know that delivery estimates are on the website so lesson learnt for me. I was surprised to see 24 hour dispatch when I went to upgrade and I took that (wrongly I now appreciate) to indicate 24 hour dispatch. I feel enlightened and won’t make the same mistake again. I’m not one for upgrading annually, just happened my contract renewal coincided with the launch of the new iPhone. I do still think a standard email just to advise of the delays out of EE’s control would ensure customers that aren’t as savvy as yourself are aware would mean good customer experiences for all. I love EE and I understand it’s not in their control. Just have an opinion and feel communication is key to prevent any anxiety for customers. Next time I will search for the deliver estimates. Could you maybe advise as to where this is located on the website. Thanks 🙂
