Placed order 'please call to discuss order'

Hi there. 

 

Just placed an order for a pay monthly phone with EE, got to payment screen the upfront cost has been taken from my bank but then I got a thanks for your order screen and it said 'please call us to discuss we need to confirm a few details'

For anyone with experience of having thjs message what does it mean? Has the credit check passed initially? As the upfront cost has been taken from my bank? 

I suffer with anxiety so phoning is not a great option for me is there a sales live chat team that can check this? 

 

I don't get why they'd take upfront payment if I haven't been accepted? 

 

Anyone who's had this message could you inform us what the issues were that needed to be discussed? Was it something small or not passing a credit check? 

 

I don't really want to phone and be told I've failed the check as it's a bit embarrassing and I already suffer with bad anxiety.

@chloeleig   They just want to check a few things.  What they ask other people might not be what they need to know from you. 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

hi jamie i know this was abit ago but did things go ok 

Hi I never went ahead with the order in the end.

What information did they ask for? Were you credit checked over the phone? 

If your a new customer they’ll do a check through to your bank over the phone but if not all they do is confirm the upgrade/order & that your happy for it to go ahead, i actually received a message from a employee instead of the call regarding my order and received my phone next day!

I’m really stressing as they’ve took the upfront cost but want me to call to confirm a few details does this mean I’ve not been accepted as they’ve took the upfront cost

How  do u cancel the phone order my order just done the same and I hate calling up I rather just cancel and get my refund back
