Pixel Fold 9 Pro delivery dates?

Hi. When will the Fold 9 pro be delivered? I believe the release date is Wednesday coming. Will they be sent out on Wednesday or be delivered on Wednesday? I ordered a few days ago, but there is no tracking. When I type my order number in it just gives me a red box with "sorry you can't track this order type just yet".

What happened was that EE just sold the 512 versions and completely forgot to sell the 256. So it created an overflow of order for one spec. EE weren't transparent, made stupid ordering process and have been completely lied on multiple occasions. They refuse to admit it's their fault and keep blaming Google.

Slightly incorrect: there was an opening pre-order promotion, whereby if you ordered a handset before Sept 4th, you would get 512GB for the price of 256GB (a clear enticement by Google to get sales in).

 

So the only handset you could order prior to 4th Sept was 512GB by default.

 

What I think has happened is that (if I was to hazard a guess) since the 4th Sept sales reps have just continued to sell the 512GB, and it's taken a while to clock that actually the 256GB is also available.  There is probably also some system complication between the pre-orders that have gone in and the standard post-release orders, which has scuppered the allocation of 512GB units correctly. Someone / Something somewhere is not talking correctly across the procurement chain and it's made the whole release a mess.

 

Would I have liked my unit sooner? Of course I would. Did I get it at a good price though? Yes I did. Will waiting kill me? Not really, and if I don't like it I can always cancel and go elsewhere. 

Just got off the phone with EE, I got an update email today just saying my order was confirmed so thought I'd chance ringing them.

The guide I spoke stated that for both colours the 512GB are showing as more than 28 days for delivery. Only options given was to wait or to cancel and order a different handset but wouldn't match the existing discount and trade in deal.

So you work for EE? That's the only explanations I can hazard a guess as to why you're making excuses for them? They lied on numerous occasions.

And it wasn't name-calling; try checking out a dictionary.  I was stating fact; saying that I must be an employee because I gave my opinion as a (more understanding) consumer is an ignorant comment to make.

I would just ignore him/her, been following this thread just to see the shipment drops and the progress on other people's orders. 

The entire time spike has just acted like a spoilt child that's not getting his way due to not receiving his preorder at the rate he/she thought they would. All whilst forgetting the hype that was around this product and the influx of orders they would have.

Been pretty cringe to be fair. 

Anyways, ordered on the 28th obsidian 512. I also received the email the other commenter had said they'd received.

I haven't complained about not receiving it. In fact I've asked people to wait for theirs and not get the lower memory model. I've complained about how EE have lied to all of us. We have all complained about that. 

I'm not sure why you're picking on me for stating the same exact thing others are. It's popular. Yes, but EE lying to their customers is not on. And apologists like the one above isn't helping matters.

I literally don't care if I have to wait. I care more about being lied to.

I'm mostly keeping an eye on this thread to see shipment progress. I ordered very late (as I waited for the review embargo to end) so am expecting a wait, which I'm reasonably fine with. I'm more annoyed that EE's order tracking is really bad to the point where I get a "Sorry, we can't show your order details right now." message when I try searching for it so have no idea on the status of my own order.
