iPhone 17 pro max delivery date

Really frustrated with EE.  Upgraded on 27th March and told my handset, an iPhone 17 pro max blue 256gb,  would be despatched within 7 days.  The next day I get a text to say documentation is now available within the app. Nothing there, so call up for help. Eventually told these texts are automated and often sent before documentation available. It won’t be available until handset is dispatched. Again I’m reassured this will be within 7 days. So today a week later, nothing. Order number provided when I ordered still doesn’t work when trying to track so call up again and now told its within 7 working days, and will probably be longer. First time ‘working days’ has been mentioned.  I asked if he could see what the current waiting time was for my handset and he just kept saying my order hasn’t been fulfilled yet. I then said if they were upfront to start with then I would have arranged for the phone to go to local EE store as I’m now away from Monday 6th until the  Friday so if dpd try to deliver I won’t be there.  Just said I would get my phone eventually.
I feel completely misled by EE and their stupid systems that don’t work. Why send a text for documentation available when it isn’t.  Rant over for now.
