Hi, I've had my iPhone 13pro for over 4 years and my sim only plan has been out of contract for nearly two years.
I thought I would treat myself to a new phone and sim deal ! (all in one) as per usual my sim only price has crept up to way beyond what they offer now.
On the website I sorted a nice deal on a new iPhone and added my new sim deal ( cheap as I don't use loads of data or need speed)
After trying to check out in the basket it asks for my pac code. Then it suggests I am leaving ee so contact them . I've been with ee since 2006 !!!! .
After contacting them through there text port I ended with a guy trying to sell me a deal. I just wonted to complete my basket purchase. He did eventually suggest I had picked a bundle that was an add on to my existing sim ( I don't need my existing out of contract sim if I'm renewing) When I log on to try and purchase a new phone and sim or just a sim only contract and try and add it to my basket and apply my pac code to keep my number it will not let me go any further, just says my pac code says I'm leaving ee contact them.
When I log on to ee now its suggest there is no upgrades available for me and I may be due an upgrade soon 😞 . Its all a bit odd to me but I'm sure some helpful person might be able to shed light on the trivial problem I have of trying to buy a new phone from ee. To be honest my old I phone is fine so I might just keep it. It seems odd I'm not allowed to buy a new phone/sim or both from the website as an old existing customer out of any form of contract.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

If it is asking for a PAC, it sounds like it is trying to add another line to your account, rather than upgrading, and is asking if you want to bring the number over @Mak24seven.
When you are logged in, are you heading to the Upgrades section?
If you are and it is still not letting you proceed, I would recommend speaking to our tech guides so they can look into your account and see if a ticket needs to be raised for the upgrade section, or speak to our upgrades guides, so they can discuss the options with you and get the order placed.

@Mak24seven : You only supply a PAC if you're leaving another network to join EE with the same no.

It doesn't give me an option, every time i add a phone and sim to my basket before check out it wont let me go any further without entering a pac code. When i put my code in it suggests i am leaving ee.

Are you logged into your EE a/c when this happens? You should be.

Even so, you should be able to say 'No' or leave blank. Not everyone has a no. to port in. The OP is saying it's not asking but insisting & won't allow PAC to be left blank.

Thanks for replying guys. Yes just to confirm i am hitting my upgrade not add product. When i hit the upgrade it just says .
"Hey STEPHEN, you can add another plan to your account or you’ll soon be eligible to upgrade on "
I can get a deal through one of the sales people I spoke to via there text chat but i would rather just peruse through the web site and make my own choice , the only reason i entered a chat was to ask about why i was being asked for my pac code that suggested I'm leaving ee.
Its probably my fault for sticking deals into the basket and trying to complete the purchase and then failing at the pac code request so i deleted my basket several times.
looks like my old iPhone will do me for a few more years, there all the same to me anyway 🙂 Although a cheaper sim would be good.
