Pre-order day felt slightly better this year but…
My wife did her order online within about 15 minutes of 1PM and was sat there very happy with herself while I struggled on.
She had to pay £100 upfront as this was before the 1 year mark. In reality pre-order day was 364-days after last pre-order day. I on the other hand was asked for £300! I put this down to me upgrading a 1TB 15PM to the same for 16PM. Her PM was the 256GB version, and her 16 PM, delivered yesterday btw, was the 256GB.
So I had a phone call in play, + an order ready to purchase online, + the online chat going, the later being how I ordered my 16PM. I really would have preferred to speak to someone because of the £300, but in the end I paid the £300 so at least I could get the 16PM on release day. How disappointed was I… very!!
My wife had the same email that we both had last pre-order day that stated there was a problem with her order, which was just a little deflating for her, and now I had my order in place. She had to wait over an hour to speak to someone but then did and the order was completed, and evidenced by the arrival of the device yesterday, was really completed.
Having read this thread and. some of the horror stories on here where orders were taken then mysteriously disappeared for the customer to be told they were now at the back of the queue fills me with dread. Do I make that call to only be filled with regret from what EE Customer Support tell me, or do I just sit there and watch the order tracker fail to get past first base?
Well I am not going to do that so I will just have to man up and call EE with fingers-crossed.
I did this last year by the way, several times, and each agent had a different excuse as to why the 15 PM was delayed. In fact I think this has happened on several previous occasions.

like some others the order tracker has moved from showing an “Expected delivery date” = “Awaiting confirmation” to “27 Sep 2024 - 01 Oct 2024”. Saves me a phone call and feels like progress… finally!!
My order for the Apple Watch Ultra2 49mm Black Titanium Black Milanese Loop strap is still “Awaiting confirmation” status.
ps, the anniversary of the deliver of my iPhone 15 Pro Max 1TB is Wednesday, September 25th, so I look forward to getting my £300 I was forced to pay on pre-order day back in my bank account.
It would be nice to get an EE statement on this!

Are you definitely using the correct email address When using the order tracker. By mistake of the day I used the wrong email and had the same issue.

No because that’s the email I’ve used to log in what order number should I use? XKO or my other order number.

I also had both order numbers and the only one that worked for me was the order number without any letters, along with my email address.
the XKO order number didn’t work.

I also have received this, and it's much better than the 21 days the agent told me it would take... hopefully its closer to 27th than the 1st!

I think they updated the tracker to 27-1 so they don’t get any volume of phone calls because people are asking only one question, where is the phone ? 😂

I'm guessing it's more they've got a handle on when they will have more stock, as there seems to be two sets of delivery timeframes being shown. So they know when they will be able to send out orders
